Welcome to Purple Pineapple Theatre Academy, the home of drama and performance excellence in North Lincolnshire.
Established in Broughton in 2023, we offer vibrant theatre services for all ages. Our core mission is to empower young people (aged 7–18) through dynamic Youth Theatre.
Students explore varied techniques, collaborate on an original summer devised piece, star in our spectacular December production, and master acting skills in our winter term.
Beyond youth classes, we champion local talent with a thriving Adult Company that tours North Lincolnshire. This growth also provides a unique opportunity for our senior students to gain valuable, hands-on experience in backstage and theatre craft, supporting professional productions.
We are now excited to partner with local schools, offering bespoke programmes to enrich the curriculum, boost student confidence, reduce anxiety, and unlock creative thinking. Join us and discover the joy of theatre
Our theatre group is based in Broughton. The Junior group is for children of Primary School age and taking their first steps into theatre. Our Senior Group is for children of Secondary and sixth form age. Children have the opportunity to use their imaginations to create theatre within a range of different age-appropriate topics, as well as explore a variety of different stage crafts like set painting, prop making, and costume design.
Throughout the year we look at a range of different theatre techniques, acting on the stage and to camera, and partake in different performances.
With affordable pricing, a passion for inclusivity, and flexible sessions we are proud to champion theatre for all.
We work with local North Lincolnshire schools to help enrich the curriculum with drama. Providing lunch and after-school clubs as well as several bespoke options to help schools reach their goals.
